This course is aimed at international Medicine and Nursing students wishing to acquire specific linguistic knowledge in the area of Health Sciences, both at the written and oral production level
Medical practice allows students to get in contact with real-life professional contexts, providing them with an overview of this profession in Spain. Students will get first-hand knowledge about the Spanish Healthcare System while they carry out supervised medical practice in a hospital or healthcare centre, getting involved in the different daily tasks.
Students will accompany doctors or nurses during hospital visits and consultations and they will cooperate in all those tasks they are prepared and allowed to according to their communicative competence and healthcare training background.
Their progress will be supervised by a tutor in coordination with the Head of the healthcare centre they are assigned to.
JUNE 30th - JULY 24th
MORNING SESSIONS: Block 1: 30 June – 11 July. Morning Sessions, Monday to Friday, from 9.15am to 2pm. 4 daily hours of Spanish for Health Sciences. Block 2: 14 – 24 July. Medical practices, Monday to Friday, from 9am to 2pm. 5 daily hours of supervised practices in healthcare centres and hospitals.

The payment of the registration and accommodation costs should be done 15 days before the course start date.
Cancellations must be communicated in writing to the International Courses Office.
This is our cancellation policy:
1. Course:
- Once the course has started, there is no refund.
- Less than 15 days before the start of the course, a 200 €
cancellation fee.
- 15 days or more before the start of the course, a 60 € cancellation
fee.
2. Lodging:
- More than 10 days before the start of the course, there is no
charge.
- 10 days or less before the starting of the course, one week
lodging fee will be charged.
- The change of accomodation, once the course has started, will imply an additional charge of 200 €.
3. Visa refusals:
- If the course has started, there is no refund.
- The student has to prove Visa refusal with an official document and a fee of 100 € will be charged.
If no official document is presented, there is no refund.
